Here is another interview from Leipzig, this time via GetBuffed. In this interview Brack and Chilton discuss the upcoming raid zone Icecrown Glacier. The guy doing the interview is kind of hard to hear, but the answers are crystal clear.

• They say, again, that Icecrown is the home of the Lich King and will feature the raid on The Lich King himself (future content patch after WotLK release).
• The Alliance and Horde quest hubs will actually be flying gun ships.
• There will be a world event at the Wrath Gate for the Icecrown opening.
• Two entrances Horde and Alliance.

Gamona.de posted an interview with World of Warcraft’s J. Allen Brack and Tom Chilton at the German game convention in Leipzig. Things of note from the interview:

• Level 80 premades are coming, possibly towards the end of beta.
• Level 80 cap is coming soon™ for beta testers.
• More balance between PVP and PVE gear is in the works (they want to avoid PVE’ers PVPing for gear).
• Ret Pallies will get the nerf bat.
• Quick instances are by design, 30-45 min instance runs will be the norm.
• Chilton announced that the WotLK will be released on the 5th of When it’s Ready™.

Unholy is sure starting to look too good to pass up. Being able to spec for PvP and tanking at the same time just has huge appeal for me. On top of that, and I hope this doesn’t get nerfed, the speed in which AE tanking makes running an instance. Take a look at Jayde’s new video, it shows a steam roll through Drak’Theron with him tanking with a Unholy build. He even mentions that this video was shot wearing all DPS gear. Hmm…

Overall I like it a lot. I had about 12% parry, 8% dodge, 16k armor, and 3 oh shit buttons with Lichborne, IBF, and Bone armor.

Combine that way multiple ways to grab and hold onto AOE agro, and instances get cleared very quickly.

Also I might note: I was doing roughly 1500 DPS the entire instance, while in frost presence. Granted, that probably has to do with the hunter serpent sting bug (targets take a ton more damage with serpent sting up right now for some reason). However, I was still #1 on damage with another 77 DK who was blood, a 75 hunter, and a 76 warlock with me. The paladin was holy.

We’ve tracked the progress of Dalaran for a while now. Our last update left us without a look at the lower level “sewers”. Well, thanks to Drotara over at QQpewpew we get a nice guided tour via a video and thanks to WotLKwiki we get some SS’s to boot!
